The event which was re-established in the Somerset Golf Competition diary after a years absence, was warmly welcomed by all the visiting players who were impressed with the course conditions . Marlon Lockhard and fellow Royal North Devon players Wayne Gaish and Matt Blake said,
‘’We thought the course and especially the greens played as well as any other course we have visited this year and we will be looking forward to returning for the event next year on August 14th which will be part of the Long Sutton Jubilee celebrations’’
